Are Our Fascinators Suitable for Royal Ascot? – 2011 advice

See our updated guidance for 2012 by clicking here.  The post below refers to previous years.

Moss Green Wedding Fascinator

We know that there are strict and well defined rules about what you can and cannot wear in The Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot.

Royal Enclosure Dress Code

Her Majesty’s Representative wishes to point out that only formal day dress with a hat or substantial fascinator will be acceptable. Off the shoulder, halter neck, spaghetti straps and dresses with a strap of less than one inch and miniskirts are considered unsuitable. Midriffs must be covered and trouser suits must be full length and of matching material and colour.”

As far as fascinators are concerned, I wanted to check more exactly which of our range was suitable, so I asked the Head of Sales and Marketing at Ascot Racecourse. He told us that our Mayfair range of Fascinators are suitable for Royal Ascot and said:

“Fascinators need to be approximately the size of a ‘side plate’ and cover the crown of the head.”

I like to be a little bit more glamorous and romantic when talking about my hats and fascinators, but at least that clears up that issue!

What are you going to wear in June?
